Winter Mentoring Sale

I feel like everyone who is a friend of a photographer holds their breath when they log on to the internet this time of year.
They see the claims that we as photographers are already filling up for their year. Claims that we only have "x" amount of sessions to go around and half of those are taken. Claims that we are going to be giving more of ourselves to our kids than ever before, so make sure you get your piece of us while we still can. And then we sit waiting for our email notification blinker on our phone to go off, hoping someone will take the bait.

I've done it every winter since I can remember.

And this year, add to it all that - I decided to cancel my only workshop... I'm sweating. A lot more than ever before. I do need to be here for my girls. My ballerina twirling, coastal plain hiking,  little bay swimming ladies need me now more than ever, so I need to figure out how to make the best use of my time as a photographer/teacher this year that is also a benefit to you.

So here's what I'm doing for the month of January - a big ole winter sale on my online mentoring sessions and portfolio reviews.

Over the years. I have helped some extremely motivated women find their storytelling voice,  put together a cohesive portfolio and brand, and dig deep into personal projects that have produced more growth as an artist than anything else. And I've really limited the amount of time I've devoted to that - until now. If you've ever considered working with me one on one to refine your art, your story, your ability to connect with others through photographs, now's a great chance to take that leap.

2016 Love Love Love Mini Sessions

Love Love Love Mama & Me Mini Sessions are available for the third year!
his is the only mini session event of the year that I hold and it's continuously been my favorite!

Each year I head out to the beach with a group of mamas and their babies and we spend the evening watching the sun go down behind the dunes of Mustang Island, playing, and bundling up with wee ones. Here are some of my favorite images from last year.

ETAILS:

Weather permitting, we will meet on Saturday, Feb 20th at Access Road 2 on Mustang Island at about 3:30 pm. I will photograph mamas and their children on rotation to give everyone a variety of images and lighting situations. The cost is $225 (+ tax and Paypal fees should you chose to pay that way) and includes our time together, and a gallery of 15 images to chose your favorite four images from. You have the ability to purchase more images, or the entire gallery once it has been delivered.
here are six spots available and while these discounted sessions are non-refundable, they are transferable. In case of bad weather, we will reschedule for the next available Saturday, a make-up date will be issued beyond that on a case by case basis.

I am extremely excited to see some familiar faces and hopefully meet some new ones as well!

365 | 2015

December 31, 2014 was the last time I nursed my youngest daughter, Phoebe.
015 was a whole new world to me, entering a new stage of life. The previous 6.5 years were spent nursing and/or pregnant and navigating this new stage of motherhood has been a rocky and rewarding one.

I decided to photograph my first 365 project, taking a photo every single day.
Due to traveling and work, I ended up losing about 4 weeks total of images, but aside from that, I ended up completing the project.

Before sharing this with all of you, I shared it with my husband. The man whipped out a rare heart eyes emoji and simply said "Do this every year." For the first time ever, I don't have the nagging regret that "Ugh, I should have taken my pictures of the girls this year" and it feels amazing.

Here's to all that 2016 has in store!
