This mama isn't a DFW local, but comes up every now and then to visit family. She told me how her and her son struggled to get started, and how her husband was stationed in Afghanistan since Samuel was just a few weeks old. So here she is, in Texas, raising her beautiful little man wonderfully. There's no way I wouldn't want to photograph her.

So here's to you, sweet Melanie, you are doing a fantastic job. And to Mr. Husband Sir, your family loves and misses you, I know they can't wait to hug your neck!
