Mama's Boy

Shannon is an incredible make up artist and repeat client of mine who ALWAYS brings the giggles and the gorgeous.She visited me during my last trip to Fort Worth with her "Little Monkey" to celebrate the continued breastfeeding relationship she has with him.

I loved shooting in Michelle Monk's adorable little studio (PER-FECT for mini sessions!) with her and her son. He is such a firecracker and she is so sweet with him. She brought a skirt her grandmother made for her that was totally perfect in this all white space.

"I'm a mommy on a mission to nurse my son "as long as I'll make it and he'll take it"...2.5 years later, we're going strong!  I have chosen Mae twice to capture moments in our nursing experience and treasure every image."

The Last Time

I met Mama A in 2012 during a breastfeeding mini session with her Baby G. These two ladies were SWEET AS PIE and G reminded me of my own little babe, Norah. Imagine my giddiness when I received an email from Mama A booking me for another mini session this year. I love any opportunity I get to photograph mothers, but when they are repeat clients, and when they are as genuine as this woman is, you get excited about it!

I received this email a few days after I delivered their images "My husband and I are dying over the pictures!!! Thank you so much.  I love them.  And I love how you captured G's smile that reflects her joy.  And {she} hasn't asked to nurse since then so you may have truly captured the last time I'll ever breastfeed!   Bittersweet."

You see, G is the youngest of many siblings, and the last baby Mama A plans to nurse. Little unexpected gifts such as this fill my heart.

Liam is One

This beautiful couple contacted me back in 2012 to document the growth of their family. Looking back over all of the images I've taken for them over the past year actually made me a little teary eyed.We first ran around Fort Worth while Lindsay and I were both very pregnant.

Lindsay had the very talented Ceci Jane film the birth of sweet Liam, and he has been in front of my lens ever sense.

Happy Birthday, Beautiful Boy! You are so loved, through laughter and joy.
