My Favorite Film in 2023

Getting back into using film regularly by exploring San Antonio with these favorite cameras and stocks.

I’m so glad I’ve had the desire to get back into film this year.

While I said goodbye to my OG Nikon F100, I welcomed quite a few instant cameras, and the Canon Program AE-1 that I’ve been fostering. I found out that my very favorite stock, Fujicolor Pro 400H, is discontinued, and also discovered some fun double processed stocks from Dubblefilm.

ClickinWalk 2017 | Rockport, Texas

I was so excited to lead the Rockport, Texas ClickinWalk for 2017 with Kerlyn VanGelder.
A great group of gals came out to shoot downtown Rockport and the Harbor.

I shot with my Lensbaby Edge 80 on my Nikon D750 and with Ektar 100 on my Nikon F100. I loved getting my hometown on camera (and all without having to worry about my kids walking... or ahem...jumping... into the water.

I'm so in love with the Clickin Moms community and deeply enjoy watching it grow!

16 Favorite Film Images

This year I took a leap... correction... I dipped my toe into the world of 35mm film.

With my Nikon F100 I explored Kodak Portra 400, Fujifilm 800, Fujifilm 400HPro, Ilford 400, and (what has turned out to be my favorite) Ektar 100.

At one point I had a Nikonos (and then sold it) and I even went all in for a Pentax 645n. But there is something sweet about 35mm that suits me. And I have learned to love it here in this little 3x5 space.

Here are 16 of my favorite film images from 2016
