Home

My husband and I have taught our daughters in a gentle way that little girls are not appreciated everywhere in the world. That in some places, like China, India, and Thailand, women get rid of their baby girls and it's our job to love them and find them a home.

I had the privilege of photographing a family who just adopted a precious girl from China who was found outside of a hospital shortly after birth. I was able to capture the first time her toes touched the cool sand and was there when she met the cold water on her legs. Miss J has Cerebral Palsy and looks as if she is always dancing.

When I came home, I showed our oldest daughter pictures of Miss J, who she has been praying and waiting for. She only sighed and said "I'm so glad she's home." I know her mama feels the same way.
