Some of my favorite clients made the exhaustive drive from Fort Worth to Rockport. Not only was it time for their son's eight month pictures, but they wanted to capture his first kiss of the ocean, and I was thrilled to be a part of it.I was definitely feeling a little bit of pressure when, upon arriving to the ferry, it was the busiest I've seen it all year. We go out to the Island as often as once a week and I hadn't seen it this busy since I was a kid. The fishing guides all said that was "the day" to catch a big one, so everyone descended with their beer and gear.
Unfortunately for me, the sun was setting fast and I was counting the minutes that we had to shoot before the moon came to great us.
We arrived at our location to find high tide had come to play. The water was all the way up to the dunes, leaving no trace of the white sand beaches that usually dance in the wind.
But the Haczynskis, they are the best. They moved quickly, had fun, and looked amazing while doing it.

I can't wait to celebrate his birthday next year!
